Full Facial Steps

Set up your facial steamer before you start so it will be ready by the time you get to Step 3. I fill mine for a 15min. steam and it takes me about 5 min. to complete Steps 1 & 2 which gives me a 10min. steam ( I have very oily skin). You get the idea.

Step 1

Clean skin with a gentle cleanser, using the time to massage your face for a few minutes. Use upward, circular movements with just your fingertips to gently stimulate the skin and help lift dirt and excess oil. Rinse or gently wipe face and leave damp.

Step 2

VERY gently massage face with a facial scrub of your choice for a no more than a minute. Be SUPER gentle. Rinse face, leave damp. While doing this

Step 3

Steam your face for about 10min. but no more than that. If you have any blackheads or whiteheads you can try to gently remove them with tissue-covered fingers or an extractor after this part. The steam softens the skin and makes extractions easier. Don't dig or gouge! You'll just get scars- trust me I know. If something hasn't come to a head don't force it.

Step 4

Smooth on a face mask. Choose one for your skin type. Leave on for 10 minutes, or for as long as the instructions say to.

I don't use "peel off" masks, they never work for me. I always use the kind that get hard. So I remove them by soaking a face cloth in warm water and holding it over my face for a while to get the mask to soften. Then I use the face cloth to wipe it off.

After the time is up remove the mask and leave skin slightly damp

Step 5

Apply a toner with a soft cotton pad, but don't rub the skin. Pat the toner over the face and neck area. Don't dry your face.

Step 6

Moisturize while your face is still damp from the toner.
