This week, cook something...

The HSG FashionCast is focusing on Food this week and I've decided to narrow that to appliances. Click over to the Food blog for this weeks good eats.

The site of the week is Hamilton Beach. I had a great time here. My new indoor grill is from Hamilton Beach, and this is a very well made "official" site. I love it when companies "Get it" and understand that you can't just throw up a few product images and call it a web site. The Hamilton Beach official site has, recipes, recall info, manuals, Q & A sections plus info and images of all of their products. LOTS of fun browsing and wishing to be had here.

This week, buy a purse...

I FINALLY bought some summer purses. I've been looking since April, but I couldn't find anything I liked and that fit my budget. I struck gold on Saturday at Marshall's with a two deals, one from Kipling, which is my new summer purse, and one from Mixx, which is my new summer tote.

The timing of this was perfect because the HSG FashionCast is focusing on accessories this week and I've decided to narrow that to purses. Click over to the accessories blog for this weeks fashion finds.

The site of the week is The Purse Blog. If you like purses then you probably already know about this blog. If you didn't know, know you do. There is a forum where you can chat with the Similarly obsessed, and RSS feed so you can keep up with new posts and everything is organized by categories so you can browse what you like. Run by Megs & Vlad, this blog does not play when it comes to purses.

This week, find something to wear...

This week the HSG FashionCast is focusing on apparel, with daily posts to the Apparel Blog. Pop on over for this weeks fashion finds.

From now on, every week one site will be featured here on the home page. This week it's Spreadshirt.com. It's a "Cafe Press" type site, and while I've never tried to open a Cafe Press store - so I don't know what their interface is like - the interface on Spreadshirt is so exacting, it's scary. I actually felt like I knew what I was doing. It's insanely easy to customize your item and you can upload your own graphics or use theirs. Then when you're done you can open your own store. I had fun playing around - I'm going to order something soon, so I'll keep you posted. There might be a HSG.com Network store in my future (as if I don't have enough to do already).

This week, do more for your decor...

This week the HSG FashionCast is focusing on home decor, with daily posts to the Decor Blog. Pop on over for this weeks fashion finds.

From now on, every week one site will be featured here on the home page. This week it's "See Jane Work". It's "The destination for style and office organization". It says so right on the home page. I tend to make do with dollar store finds, (you know, cute glasses for pencil cups, those boring square bins for dividing drawers), but every once in a while I treat myself to something that makes me WANT to sit at my desk and get some work done. Just so I can use my new stuff:) See Jane Work has the kind of stylish, crisp, and just plum lovely desk accessories that we all deserve. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Staples, but this is just sooooo much nicer.
